I would like to point out for the record that most
*male* heroes also end up getting married, (to a
beautiful princess normally) and living happily ever
after.

What would you have thought if

Not by me. I went to my prom alone, (no pity please, I
didn't want a date. In fact I only went at all because
it's supposed to be such a big important thing -
looked like any dance to me) so did a number of other
girls and any number of boys.
The Yule ball was a big thing all sorts of celebrities
where there not to mention the Weird Sisters. I
imagine quite a lot of third years and aboves went
alone, just to be there.
