Hehe, while I'm new here too... I hadn't thought of it in quite
that way before. I have read somewhere where Snape might fall
in love with someone in later books, but I have to agree that
his hatred runs quite deep for a man who was the victom of
a practical joke. Certainly, the joke could have killed him, but
I like your theory much better to explain his utter hatred for
Harry. :)
