Snape's potions challenge

I just got this idea after reading that delightful filk (A maze with keys) 
that was sent in. in SS/PS, when the trio are going through the various 
chambers and end up at Snape's chamber, I was wondering why Snape just didn't 

lie during that little poem of his. It was really easy too. I'm certain that 
if I had the bottles infront of me I could figure it out. But IMO Snape 
could've lied about which was the right potion, though he and Dumbledore 
would know.  

Again, it's just a thought I had.
