Hmm, wouldn't it make sense though that someone *might* have to
repeat a year? Especially if they got on the wrong side of Snape
and he failed them in Potions. Imagine the sneers of being a year
older than your classmates, but on the same level :)

In all honesty, it was a mistake on her part, but a good writer would
turn that mistake into a great opportunity. Maybe we'll see that in
future books. :)
