I was drinking iced tea when I read this, and nearly choked on it 
laughing.  LOL.

By the way (and this thought followed on the inane thought of "Well, 
if it is that boa, I'd think he'd've at least said, "Hey!  It's me!  
Hope you don't take it personally when I eat you later!"), there was 
no indication that Harry understood Nagini's hissing.  I mean, Nagini 
slithered around and hissed, and *was* in fact 'talking,' since 
Voldemort 'answered' a query (in Parseltongue, I wonder?) with 
something along the lines of "yes you can eat Potter, but lemme 
finish with him first, 'kay?"  So Nagini was speaking; yet Harry had 
no thoughts/reactions to what Nagini said. 

Also...didn't the big snake beastie in CoS hiss-talk at Riddle?  And 
I don't recall indication of Harry catching the conversation.

I just wonder if Harry always understands snakes, or if he only 
understands them, say, when they speak directly to him.
