I thought this theory was enlightening. The only hole that I could see, would be that the snake didn't seem to recognize Harry in the hallway of Riddle House. However, he didn't gobble Harry up in the hallway either, just tattled on him to Voldy. So, maybe there is some merit to the idea. :)
Have a nice day, Wanda

How about this? Maybe the Boa Constrictor has already shown up
again. Nagini and the Brazilian Boa are one in the same!
The evidence:
Nagini is a "gigantic snake, at least 12 feet long" with a "diamond
patterned tail." It speaks parseltongue. GoF Ch. 1
The Boa is "the largest snake in the [zoo]." "It could have wrapped
its body twice around Uncle Vernon's car and crushed it into a trash
can." It has "glistening brown coils" and "beady eyes." There was
no indication that the Boa was re-captured by the zoo after it
escaped. It also speaks parseltongue. PS/SS Ch. 2.
Perhaps the Boa slithered all the way to Albania, having both a poor
sense of direction and no idea where Brazil is located, and hooked up
with Voldemort. The Brazilian Boa certainly owes Harry a favor. If
Nagini is the Boa, then maybe Nagini is in Harry's debt and will re-
pay the favor. One day when Voldemort finally has the upper hand
against Harry (and is gloating and otherwise running his mouth before
killing Harry), Nagini/Boa will rise up and squeeze Voldemort or a DE
to death, allowing Harry to escape.
No? Oh well.
Cindy
