At the beginning of GOF when Nagini comes into the room and tells V 
about the old man in the corridor, that's a conversation

My impression from that same exchange is that V recounts the 
conversation to Wormtail -- Nagini tells V (and it's not written but I 
imagine V acknowledging or probing for some more details in 
parseltongue) then V turns around and explains the entirety of the 
conversation to Wormtail.
