Hello,

Snape is my second favorite teacher in Hogwarts (McGonagall is still the best for me). I tried to be sorted in harrypotter.com and I always end up in Gryffindor, meaning he won't like me. But somehow I manage to learn things from him in reading the book. I think Snape is just bothered by something that is why he is sour and ill-tempered. I know, since I also have a teacher like him and as I grow up, I can see change. I can tell myself that he is somewhat a good teacher since he's ready to defend his students when trouble comes. I guess he not only saved Harry from Professor Quirrel just because of his debt to James Potter. He won't risk his life if he wasn't 'concerened' to him or anything. Maybe in the future books we'll find a better him, don't you think?

I don't know if he'll excel teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts since I think he'll teach his students how to do Dark Arts rather than Defense it. I think he'll be safer in potions, don't you?
