I was never a fan of the "Hagrid dies in 5" camp, but in light of
increasing evidence, I'm almost willing to give it my membership.

First, we have the general evidence. Hagrid's "dangerous mission",
the fact that a "fan" of Harry's will die in OoP, and the general
atmosphere of a "sacrifice" for Harry (given Hagrid's noble nature,
making him a prime suspect).

Second, we have movie evidence. This comes primarily from Coltrane,
indirectly from JKR herself. We know Coltrane has not signed for
seven movies, while Harris has. This is not strong evidence by
itself. Coltrane also received "inside" information from JKR to help
play his character better. I think the most compelling connection
would be the fact that we can connect these two fields of evidence
through theory.

Coltrane has admittedly receive top-secret character information about
Hagrid, which allowed to portray Hagrid in a dead-on style. He hasn't
signed on for any movies yet to be written. A fan of Harry's dies a
"grisly" death in OoP. What if the information JKR gave to Coltrane
was his fierce loyalty to Harry, ultimately resulting in an untimely
death? I can immediatly connect these two through this theory.
Obviously, JKR is a huge fan of Hagrid's chracter, and she has stated
several times that this person's death will be heart-wrenching to
right. Obviously, if you know your character is going to die,
especially if the nature of his death is an unusual or important one,
that is definitely going to allow you to gain more insight into your
character, in order to better act them (from an actor's perspective).

I've never actually been a Hagrid fan, but death isn't pretty for any
kind of character in this series, and I hate to give my conviction to
the death of anyone. But at least it shifts my focus away from a
possible Ron-demise in the future of HP.
