In many ways I would love to see a continuation of the HP series after
book seven, but as an amature writer myself, I understand that there is
a need to set limits -- to get away from a set universe you're
currently writing. While I might have a handful of characters that I've
written 10 short stories on, JKR is writing big novels regarding her
characters. 7 novels based on these characters and their lives is a
lot. A writer needs to take a break from this, honestly. 

I would like her to take a break then write "Hogwarts, a History" then
perhaps a couple years after that, maybe a book or two summing up how
Harry's life has been after Hogwarts. And dive more into James and
Lilly's Hogwarts for adults.

Of course, those of you who are HP fanfic writers now might get a
chance in the future to actually write canon HP stuff. You never know
:)
