I think it's easier than we think, but we only follow Harry who sticks
with his House.

I automatically assumed the map makers were all in Gryffindor. I'm
taking Hagrid's statement with a grain of salt. I think the majority of
wizards who went bad came from Slytherin, because one of their traits is
the search for power.

I'm under the impression that Hagrid was in Gryffindor. Here's what JKR
said in an interview:
