And presumably, whatever Hermione read didn't just say that toddler 
Harry survived the curse and appears to have destroyed V's powers, but 
that toddler Harry's parents were murdered.  It's a tad tactless to 
suggest that someone would want to read about his parents' murders, 
much less talk to a stranger about them.

Well, I was more tactless than that at 11.
