Okay, I'm confused. Just where did this "Neville has a curse on his 
memory" thing originate?  It's been mentioned several times and I 
just don't get it.  Yes, he's the most forgetful student at Hogwarts, 
but a memory curse? If it has anything to do with his parents' 
afflictions, I seriously doubt that he was actually present when the 
DE's turned their sanity into swiss cheese and no "obliviate" charm 
was needed on young Neville.  I think his chronic forgetfullness has 
more to do with his slight mistrust/fear of magic ("My mum and dad 
were good at magic and look where it got them.").  

Although it would be sweet to see him as DADA prof and have to work 
with Snape!  (but only if that whole self-confidence issue is worked 
out!)
