<"And he was right-he could touch me without hurting himself, he
<touched my face."
<For a fleeting instant, Harry thought he saw a gleam of something
<like triumph in Dumbledore's eyes. But next second, Harry was sure
<he imagined it,

<I was just interested in what other people thought about the
<reaction
<of Dumbledore to the fact that Voldemort was no longer incapable of
<hurting Harry.

I actually have been reading over that section last night and I found
it interesting how it was described. I'm new to the group also so I
don't know if it has been discussed, but here are some thoughts on
it...

Dumbledore may have seen a weakness in Voldemort that was never
there. Before Harry defeated Voldemort, it sounds like he was pretty
invincible, we still don't know what caused his defeat. Could it be
that using Harry's blood caused more then Voldemort's accension? It
may have enabled Voldemort to break down that defense of Harry's but
it may also have given them a way to finally bring down Voldemort.

The other thought, one that I am reluctant to think about, is that
Albus Dumbledore may not be the character that I have always thought
him to be. Why exactly is Dumbledore the only person that Voldemort
fears?! You have to admit that it would be a crazy Plot Twist if
Dumbledore turns out to be Voldemorts master... Nah... to crazy...
