some revalations while re-reading goblet of fire

ok, i JUST joined, so I dont know if these points have been broached 
before, but hopefully, this is new to you guys!

#1)the woman who babysits Harry on Dudley's birthdays and other 
occasions is Mrs. Figg.  Lots of cats, weird lady, blah blah blah.
when they go to the Quidditch world cup, they stay in a tent that has 
the same decor and smell of her house.  weird, eh?  coincidence?  I 
THINK NOT!!!!!

dumbledore: Sirius, I need you to set off at once.   You are to alert 
Remus Lupin, Arabella Figg, Mundungus Fletcher, the old crowd.

So, she's obviously a witch.  But not just a random witch, a member 
of the "old crowd".  Did she know Harry's parents?  How tight is she 
with Dumbledore?  Was she left on Privet Drive as a guard?  and if 
she was left to guard Harry, think about how powerful she'd have to 
be to be in that position.

#2) Death Eaters are all about purity of the blood.  Malfoy is always 
going on about it.

I've got lots of little thories on stuff thats gonna go down, but i

what do you think?  does any of it make sense? am i on crack?
