Prefects vs. Head Boy/Girl

Well, probably the easiest way to distinguish between
the two for an American would be to say that a Prefect
is a class officer, while Head Boy/Girl is Student
Body President.  They do much the same thing, but the
HB/G is the overall student in charge, whereas the
prefects are their direct subordinates.


Andrea, who was class officer at her American school
and Deputy Head Girl at her British one! ;)
