Okay, then. Let me clarify. I *know* that Petunia says very little
throughot the series after her outburst in SS. She often lets Vernon
do the talking while she bites her lip and hides behind him. What I
suspect, though, is that her silence is due in part to guilt. People
sometimes hold their tongues because their words may expose them. I
can't help but wonder if Petunia's apparent fear of All Things Magic
is a bit of an act. Since I believe that she is the one who will
develop powers later in life (or may have had them already), I always
take a second look at her actions.
I am not saying that I absolutely believe that she is the one who blew
up Aunt Marge, but it is an interesting twist that Magda threw in
there.

As Magda so nicely pointed out, Fudge is not always right. Harry was
accused of doing magic the previous summer when Dobby was the one who
really did it. Fudge strikes me as someone who is far more interested
in his position at the MoM than he is in doing the right thing. His
discussion with Dumbledore at the end of GoF confirms that for me. I
would not be surprised to find out that he did not take more time to
look into what happened at the Dursley home in PoA than he did. What
he needed was to find and protect Harry and that is what he did.

It was also unnecessary. I am confident enough in my knowledge of the
books, as are many on the list, to not have to go back to page numbers
each time I want to refer to something. Remember, we love to read
between the lines here; sometimes canon doesn't prove a suspicion and
we need to just talk it through!
