That said, I would very much *like* to see Ron on the quidditch team, as I 
think the poor guy deserves a break. However, even if he were, he'd still 
only be doing something his brothers had done first, seeing as Fred and 
George are on the team and Charlie is something of a legend.

I agree with ya Helen, it was well just a strange thought that I had at the time.  Just that he would be on the team not that he woud ever be captain as Charlie was.  While I think that it does create tension between Harry and Ron, I can't see why she would want this tension?  I've said it before and I'll say it again is it to tempt him?  I doubt very seriously that Ron Weasley will ever truly cross over to the dark side, but just give in somewhat to the bad side.  But Ron had better be a hero in these books, more than he is already.  Something that truly makes him stand out as a character...something that plays to his talents.
