Great heavens, *we* all did. We just got here first. And as Amy said,
for books that *have* been so combed over, we've seen some good original
interpretations in the past week or so.

My lady, you have managed to state in one not-all-that-long post a
beautiful summation of why I love Snape as a character! All my thoughts
distilled for me, eloquently. I, too, don't have the "hots" for him,
despite what every single other person who's been on the list longer
than, say, two days will tell you (Alan Rickman's another story, shut
up, you guys). I find him compelling and intricate for many of the
reasons you state, which I could never quite articulate.
