I thought so, but JKR has responded to a "what was the first?"
question in a way that suggests it's very important. I wish she'd
just said "Oh, I dunno, I think she predicted petrol prices would
skyrocket in 1978." Then we'd all be surprised when Trelawney's first
prediction turned out to be a key to the whole plot. I have a similar
complaint about a matter Lizo of Newsround brought up--a clue I never
would have thought was a clue if JKR hadn't said so--but I won't say
what it is so that I don't spoil anyone else's ignorant bliss.

No way, Caius; you are this list's official anti-Dementor. Reading
your posts is right up there with chocolate as a cure for depression.

The only one? Fear not, or should I say, sorry--you have competition
galore.

My favorite and one of the highest on my doomed list, Remus, isn't on
your list. What do you think of his chances? Unfortunately, I think
JKR may find him an irresistible substitute for Sirius on the
sacrificial altar: he's beloved enough by Harry and us for his death
to really hurt, but it wouldn't be as cruel as killing Sirius.
(Crueller to me, but less cruel to Harry.)
