What really annoyed me, is that Sirius still showed no sign of
regret so many years later. I can forgive his youthful
thoughtlessness but surely he should've known how wrong he'd been
by now?

But what I want to know is why Snape just followed Sirius'
instruction to reach Lupin that night. If they all hated each other
that much, surely Snape should've felt a bit suspicious that one of
his enemies would offer him free information on a close friend? Did
Snape mean to get Lupin expelled or at least get him into trouble, or
was that just simple curiosity?
