I hadn't heard anything about Harry until last year when my daughter was in
the third grade. Her teacher was reading SS to the class each afternoon. She
wanted to read the others, but I wanted to know what they were about before
I let her continue. The school had a book fair and I bought the first three
then ( GoF wasn't out yet). I started SS on a Friday afternoon and by Sunday
evening I had finished all three! And had to wait 2 months for GoF to come
out! I started reading them with my daughter, and my 15 & 16 year old sons
would listen, they too were hooked. We bought the tapes at Christmas to
listen to when we travel. We have listened to all of them, my daughter has
listened to them about 10 or 12 times! We plan to buy tickets for the movie
and be there the day it opens. And OotP can't come soon enough. We have
gotten my sister's family, the boy's girlfriends and several other friends,
both adult and children, hooked. We even have all the games. Harry has
become a huge obsession in our house! I guess it could have been a worse
obsession couldn't it?
