I orginally had a one-liner response, but since it is easy for me to
babble, I came up with more. I'm such a good HPFGUer.

Eric Oppen - Right on! I loved what you said about Crouch Sr.,
especially in relation to Winky. As a card carrying member of SPEW (I
am most like Hermione, after all), I found that scene and Sirius's
comments later, very telling. BTW, Sirius's comment about how a man
treats his inferiors is possibly my favorite comment in the entire
series.

I read everyone's posts about how we all started HP. The 26 year old
who hated reading - WOW! I've always loved reading but I'm so pleased
that HP made you a reader too. I was also pleased to see that I am
almost the only one who knew nothing of the hype but wanted to check
out the books completely on my own. Do I have good taste or what? I
also discovered "Holes" and "A Series of Unfortunate Events" that way.
Maybe I should become a YA editor.

Snape - I dunno, Amanda, I might invite him over for dinner sometime.
I do have a tough boyfriend to protect me. Seriously, though, Snape
is so fascinating; what I wouldn't give to be a fly on the wall when
he talks to Dumbledore. Has he ever trusted anyone else the way he
seems to trust the big D?

work cut out for him if he went to the South Bronx, which is where my
boyfriend grew up***********************************
