Clue from JKR about Hagrid's House

Well, but what intrigued me was that he was speaking from a deep and 
immediate knowledge of Slytherin-- he was, afterall, classmates with 
the one who became Voldermort, and was horribly betrayed by him. 
(Yes, I realize now that whatever interview this was I am massively 
misquoting or not rememebring the detail correctly-- but ah, well).

I do like the idea of a surprise coming up, some kind of evidence 
that might suggest that the cunning Slytherins, though prone to Dark 
Ways, do not HAVE to go in that direction, and that there might be a 
notable Slytherin who will rise above it all. (Well, Snape for 
sure...)

*Sigh* I should never, ever quote from memory....
