Subject: Way to stop the Avada Kedavra curse?
I was thinking about Harry Potter and Dungeons & Dragons today :ducks
flying fruit and shouts of "Geek!": and I had an idea. In D&D one way
to stop a hostile spell is to cast the same spell back as a
counterspell. Mightn't it be possible to hold back the Killing Curse
by casting one of your own so that they cancelled each other out.
Just a thought.
Interesting thought, Keith. but I wonder if it isn't more likely that
the spells would hit each other and bounce off in different, and
possibly unpredictable directions. thus people who weren't actually in
the duel would end up dealing with the curses. Imagine, Lucius Malfoy
and Waldon McNare being picked off by a couple of stray Avada Kedavras
when Voldy's dueling with someone. It couldn't be Harry unless one of
them was using someone else's wand.... But I'm rambling now, so I'll
stop.
