Hello All,

I've been thinking for a while about this question...Why DID I start
reading HP?

At first, I viewed all the hype with cinisim. I dind't want to read
them, they coulnd't possibly be that good. Just one more thing to get
parents to buy children, blah blah blah.

I remember buying an Ottawa Citizen (my photo was in the paper so I
wanted a copy) and there was this four page article about Harry
Potter. I read every word. I remember being mesmorized by the pictures
of the book covers, thinking, well maybe it's not all bad. I still
didn't buy them.

About two weeks after that, one of my friends gave me a gift
certificate to Chapters. She didn't read much, and thought I could use
the GC. So, off to Chapters I went.

I remember there was this HUGE display for the first book, and there
was this group of Vietnamese (sp?) tourists standing in front of the
display shouting: "Look! Harry Potter!" and it got me to thinking.
Wow, I thought, it's must be making reading fun!

I saw parents and children looking at them and reading them. I saw
older people reading them to grandchildren. I saw adults reading it to
themselves. I love reading and encourage it everywhere I go. So, I
picked up the paperback copy of HP and the PS.

My world has never been the same since.

Hugs
J
