Just to continue in this same thread of thought, I agree with
Margaret that Ollivander probably has a record keeping system of some
sort that lists all of the wands that their store has sold. Mr.
Ollivander himself remembers all the wands he sells (IIRC), but one
day, he will possibly pass the store on to a child who will be able
to say "Oh yes, my father sold so-and-so their wand. It was an
something or another with blah-blah inside." Do we know if Mr.
Ollivander has a child to pass the store to when he decides he's
ready to retire from the hustle and bustle of wand making?
