train station. They were probably preoccupied with Ginny, as it was her 
first time on the platform. No doubt each assumed the other had seen 
the boys onto the train. They probably didn't know anything was wrong

	It says in QTA that apparition becomes more difficult the longer 
the distance. Dumbledore, though a powerful wizard, might have been 
worn out after doing all those protective spells Voldemort mentions in 
GoF. Maybe he had to travel in hops, dropping in on the celebrations 
along the way. Alternatively, he was actually invited to those parties, 
but didn't want to boast about his popularity to Minerva.
