Right. In QTA the sport of Quodpot is discussed (and described 
hilariously!).  It is also mentioned that there are a mere handful of 
US Quidditch teams, making it sound even more like the equivalent of 
soccer here vs. American football.  Just as US soccer fans are 
willing to watch grainy broadcasts in languages other than English 
(my husband and I are actually getting better at judging what the 
Spanish and Italian commentators are going on about) so too are 
American Quidditch fans willing to travel all the way to England to 
see the World Cup.  American football is supposedly catching on as 
something of a novelty act in Europe, so perhaps in homage to that, 
sometime JRK will have the Weasleys and Harry and Hermione attending 
a Quodpot exhibition game between visiting US teams...
