In the VFAQ for this group, located at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HPforGrownups/files/Admin%20Files/VFAQ.htm (if
you haven't read it in a while, or ever, take a peek!), it says:
In Goblet of Fire, during the fight between Harry and Voldemort, James
Potter appears from Voldemort's wand before Lily Potter. Surely Lily should
have appeared first if she was killed after James?
This was an error. The scene was rewritten for later editions of the
book. Both Bloomsbury (UK publisher) and Scholastic (US publisher) have
confirmed this.
You can see the "corrected" page at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HPforGrownups/files/Publications/priori-s.jpg
Some of us think that the corrected language is bloody awlful and
incongruous, and that JKR would've been better off explaining it in a later
book.

I managed to find the first post where it was deemed a FLINT:

Mods - can we add "What Is A Flint?" to the VFAQ?
