There have been very, very few entries to contest #10, in which you 
were asked to submit a creative suggestion for an HP-themed 
Renaissance-type fair, party, or other event. I would really 
appreciate it if you all would consider submitting an entry to the 
contest, and I am extending the submission deadline until next week.

In the past I have tried various approaches to exhort our members to 
participate in the weekly contest.  In this post I will try them 
all.  Please skip down to the type of plea most likely to work on 
your particular personality.  They are:

1. Guilt
2. Blackmail
3. Desperate and Pathetic
4. Psychotic

Plea #1 -- Guilt
Please submit a contest entry.  I work my fingers to the bone, 
slaving away at a hot keyboard trying to provide amusement for Harry 
Potter fans, and this is the thanks I get?  How could you treat me 
like this?  When your parents each work 2 jobs so that they can send 
you money for college, do you spend their hard-earned money on beer 
and cigarettes?  When your kid brother breaks his leg and is in a 
cast for six months, do you buy him a skateboard for his birthday?  
No, of course not.  So be a better person and submit a contest entry 
now.

Plea #2 -- Blackmail
I can not post the next contest until I get more submissions to this 
contest.  The next contest is a really great logic puzzle.  I know 
you all like logic puzzles, but you wont get to see this one until 
you submit an entry to contest #10. Plus, the prize for contest #10 
is a kazillion galleons.

Plea #3 -- Desperate and Pathetic
Please oh please oh please send me a contest entry.  I am sitting 
here all alone, locked in my attic office with only my computer to 
keep me company.  (They slide some watery vegetable soup through the 
slot in the door every now and then.)  You are my only friends.  
Please oh please oh please send me something.

Plea #4 -- Psychotic
The Lord has called me home.  Yes, me, Joywitch M. Curmudgeon, will 
be leaving for my final reward unless YOU send in a contest entry 
today.  Or tomorrow.  The Starship Potter will be landing in my front 
yard sometime in the next few days, and will take me away unless you 
contribute.  And, while youre at it, send me some money, too.
