This is definitely my favorite chapter in CoS. I practically drooled
while reading the description of the Weasley home. I'd give anything
to live there, ghoul and all!

that as well? Did you think it was a simple joke? Or did you think
there was something more to Dobby's message?>
I thought it had something to do with Voldemort, even though Dobby's
comment "No, not He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named" threw me.

Did you automatically think that it was because of a girl?>
Percy works in mysterious ways. What I'd really like to know is what
happened to Penelope Clearwater. Did they break up after he left
Hogwarts? There is no mention of her in GoF. They were a couple for
a good two years, and then nothing. Hmmm, is that a flint?

only about 14 years old at the time and as wizards, would not be
familiar with it. And they obviously had to use magic to start it up
(Ron uses his wand to start the ignition in Chapter Five). Why didn't
the Ministry send them a warning for using magic during holidays?>
Hey, is there anyone on this list who doesn't have faith in the
Weasley twins? I think those two can do anything, and I mean anything
they want to. I actually think they are pretty powerful wizards.
As far as underage magic goes, I agree with Catherine that picking it
out in a wizard household would be more difficult than spotting it in
the Dursley home, which is monitored anyway. Besides, the Weasleys
know how to take care of themselves, and Mrs. Weasley can punish
better than any silly old MoM could.
> 4) Do you think the Weasley twins and Ron really thought they could
get away with Harry just showing up? The excuse `Mum, look who turned
up in the night!' is a pretty flimsy explanation. Do they really
underestimate their mother that much?>
Ah, the excuses of teenage boys! The adventure of rescuing Harry was
more exciting to them than worrying about explaining their actions. I
think they knew they'd get caught.
> 5) Do you think the Weasley's always de-gnome the garden by swinging
the gnomes around in circles? Or do you think it was just because it
was a punishment?>
Fantstic Beasts tells us that the way to expell a gnome from a garden
is to spin it around by its feet until it is dizzy and then to drop it
over the garden wall. I guess that's the only way to do it.
