A Mistake and a Question

This is the position I have taken as well, but a few recent posts 
have suggested that in Britain it may not be possible the way it is 
in the States. Here, if you think your child is ready for it, you can 
send them to kindergarten even if they're four, unless their birthday 
is in Novebember or December or later. This makes it easily possible 
that Hermione, being as she is mentally advanced for her age, could 
certainly have started Hogwarts while still at age 10, especially 
since her birthday is so close to the September 1 start date. But is 
that possible in Britain as well? Or would a September 1 cutoff  be 
enforced, no matter what? I think that the "correct" answer for now, 
until JKR does an interview with someone like me, will depend on what 
is allowed in Britain.
