I was always under the assumption that Hermione was
older than Harry. I remember a AOL chat in which JKR
said Hermione was born September 19, 1979. And it's
possible for her to be almost a whole year older than
Harry. That's how it is with the majority of my
friends. I'll be 15 on august first and like 85% of
my friends will all be turning 16 in
September-November.
