This isn't plainly written in the canon, but I think Bill was at
Hogwarts "five years ago" on Gringotts business. Namely, Bill went to
Hogwarts to pick up the Sorceror's (Philosopher's) Stone from
Dumbledore and Nicholas Flamel. Bill, being a former Hogwarts Head
Boy, was probably more trustworthy than one of the goblins. However,
this is based on the assumption that Dumbledore anticipated Voldemort
troubles around the time Harry leaves the care of his relatives (which
I think he did considering the cryptic answer to Harry's question
about why Voldemort wanted to kill him (PS/SS) and in light of
Dumbledore's "look of triumph" in GoF.) If Dumbledore had the Stone
put in the bank sometime during the 1990-1991 and if Bill did
transport the Stone to Gringotts, then the last time he was at
Hogwarts was about "five years ago".
