*peeks up from under her rock* Hi, first post. ^_^ I just wanted to
add in something here...

But Harry has to be special in some other way (most likely in
ability) because there had to have been a reason for Voldemort to
even bother trying to kill him when he was a baby, which caused the
connection you mention (that makes Harry special) in the first place.
Remember, at the end of the first book, Harry asked why Voldemort had
tried to kill him (right?), and Dumbledore said something along the
lines of (sorry, don't have my first book with me; my brother's
borrowing it), "Alas, the first question you ask me I cannot answer
right now." Something like that. This suggests that Harry isn't ready
to know why Voldemort tried to kill him and I, for one, interpret it
as having to do with Harry's magical abilities. I'd rather Harry be
highly powerful than be the heir of Gryffindor (or something like
that)....

Did that make any sense? I wish I had the first book right now. ^_^
Anyway, couldn't help but add in; sorry if it's already been brought
up. I do that sometimes. :) *crawls back under her rock*
