SPOILERS: QTA & Shape of Quaffle

Okay, I've just reread QTA for the third or fourth time, and the last time I
read through I was looking specifically for reference to the non-circular
red ball we're shown in the trailer that I assume is the Quaffle. I found no
reference to it. 

Did anybody else spot this? The only rationalisation I could make is that
the one with holes in is the School-Grade Quaffle, and not the Professional
one.
