It has been postulated (by me, but I think I was echoing someone else)
that what Harry has gained by this is the ability to actually defeat
Voldemort. It's been made pretty obvious that there's precious little of
the human Tom Riddle in the all-but-immortal Voldemort. He himself
mentions the changes and things he went through. It may be that since he
and Harry have shared powers, and now share blood, that Harry is the
only person who would be capable of killing him. The look of triumph may
be that Voldemort has just opened the door for his own permanent
downfall.

Which reopens that whole "but do we *want* Harry to kill?" thing again.
I think he may have to.
