The Gryffindors got a free shot at the goal, the reason why the Slytherin's are happy is because Malfoy did something so devilishly underhanded that it outraged a bunch a people.  Remember the Slytherins LIKE to cheat and foul and all that and they LOVED Malfoy's grabbing Harry's broom in an attempt to win/keep the Gryffindors from winning.
