Here, I would respectfully disagree. Hermione is very clear. She 
tells Harry that he is a great wizard not because he does well on 
tests or knows things but because he is courageous and heroic.

She chose to be in Gryffindor, not Ravenclaw, and I would suggest 
that is because she values valor and integrity more than wisdom.
