Patronus

Who said that what Lupin shot at the Dementor on the train, or what 
the wizards who gathered to herd the dementors away from the 
Quidditch field, were Patronus Charms at all?  It is likely that more 
mature and powerful wizards don't need their anti-dementor spells to 
take animal form at all.  Rather, they just shoot anti-dementor 
spells.  Harry on the other hand, is given a charm that is difficult, 
but the only one possible for him to master at his stage of 
development.


Transfiguration

As for transfiguration, with the exception of Krum's half shark, is 
there any evidence that one can transfigure oneself?  I think not.  
Therefore (and I don't have my book) I think Krum's spell was 
something other than transfiguration per se.  It may even be that 
Karkaroff helped him by cheating.


The Late Bloomer.

The moving uill writes, and havint writ moves on. Whether the 
invitation is accepted is another question.  Ithink Petunia is the 
most likely candidate, having refused the offer to avoid having to 
compete with her sister.
