Yes - and to the part of transfiguration, it does require lots of study
(Hermione the study freak performs well, Harry just can't do his homework at
Dursleys properly, and Ron's just too lazy to.) Should Harry go live with
Sirius, well, then I suppose he'd be the one doing the best performance in
transfiguration, having animagus godfather aside from his books to refer to.
Erm - that note they got, "Minors aren't allowed to do magic except for
school" - well, Sirius might decide to interpret that if Harry's practicing
spells from his schoolbooks, it's "for school" and therefore allowed - if
Harry tries to argue about the rule.
