Sorting Hat and Gryffindor Weasleys

I am responding to my self again, just to corroborate anyone's 
guesses that I may lack sanity.  Anyway, I would like to clarify this 
stupid thing I wrote:

What I meant by this was not that Annie was asking if family history 
ever "trumped" personal qualities, which she of course was not.  
Unfortunately this IS what I wrote.  Sorry.  What I meant by 
the "Directly?" was to say that obviously you could make a case for 
the apple falling close to the tree as an *indirect* reason, but that 
presumably was not what Annie meant.  So what should have followed 
that would be more like:

"As in 'I [the Sorting Hat] can see that you belong to _____ family 
and will therefore makes this one of the factors of my decision'?" 

And this question was intended to make the distinction of what I 
meant by "Directly?"  The original did not.  Again sorry.

I hope that makes things somewhat more clear.  In any case, I 
apologize for that post in general.  It's, umm, not me at my best and 
in retrospect I probably should have just canned it since I didn't 
really say anything terrifically important.
