In the chapter after The Unforgivable Curses in GoF, Neville is made 
by Snape to disembowl horned-toads. Later Hermione teaches him a 
Scouring Charm to remove FROG GUTS from underneath his finger nails.
Horned toads aren't frogs, they are lizards, completely different 
family.
Now, granted, JKR has already proved she isn't a herpetologist, but I 
am, and I wanted a Flint. So feel free to pelt me with things.
