 Sorry i'm so late in replying to the post!
 i think that Lupin's patronus is "formless silvery stuff" because he 
isn't an expert at it. He says this himself when Harry asks him to 
teach him.I know that he is a dada teacher but that doesn't mean that 
he is an expert on every defence there is , anyway how many times 
would he have come in to contact with demontors (they appear to stay 
in azcaban all the time).Any way Lupin isn't even facing a  demontor 
when showing harry what to do.He should only produce something like 
clouds when the boggart changes in to the moon,because that's his 
fear , the dementor is Harrys.(Does it ever say what Lupin does to 
the Boggart to defeat it when it changes in to the moon?? and could 
Harry defeat the Boggart/Demontor by imagining it as a clown or 
something funny and joy "creating" like that??)
