And while we're at it, how about standing up a bit for snakes,
which I've thought were pretty cool critters since I was a tot! 
(I had a pet garter snake when I was seven.)  The boa constrictor
Harry talks to in PS/SS doesn't seem particularly nasty.  Okay,
he gives Dudley a scare, but can you blame him?  And he even says
"Thank you" to Harry.

Personally, I think being a Parselmouth would be neat, and
strongly suspect it's one of those abilities that are needlessly
maligned.  It's what you =do= with it that's important, yes?
