They have room - at least two of their children already moved out.
Also: Harry and Ron would be sharing a bedroom.

And never mind the money - Harry would be GIVING them money.

It really has more to do with Dumbledore's plans (and I doubt he knows how 
Harry has it with Dursleys - sneaking to do his homework) and the fact that 
no adult supports Harry when Vernon picks him up. I do, however, hope that 
Sirius Black will be the one Harry'll be living - he'll need to study hard - 
and he hardly can at Dursleys.
