Hi everyone --

Okay, :::flexes wand menacingly:::

*PLEASE* snip off unneeded quoted material when replying to a message.
I'm seeing lots & lots of messages today with someone's thoughts
(generally a short paragraph of 3-4 sentences) sitting on top of a huge
stream of quoted material that they are replying to.

Reminder: snip up the message you are replying to so that you give
everyone a little context (summarizing is even better) and then add your
thoughts *after* the quoted section. We do need some context so don't
go the opposite direction entirely either.

Snipping someone's message in your reply is *not* rude! What *is* rude
is to include tons of unnecessary verbage in your message, making it 10
times longer than it needs to be, which is incredibly hard on our digest
users (not to mention those of us just trying to wade through on
individual emails).

Howlers will be arriving in the boxes of those people who continue to
violate these rules. You've been warned!!!

Everyone should read our Netiquette File .... please.
