Hi Susanna
Sorry, didn't notice this bit earlier (I don't notice nuffink, do I?)

There's no Draco Dormiens in Geomancy, but you've touched on one of
my pet HP obsession here, so I think you're very wise and definitely
on to something...;-)

Do you know the Arthurian legend about the two dragons (one red, one
white)? The two dragons fought with one another and, according to
Merlin, the white dragon symbolised the Saxons and the red one the
Britons (who were trying to keep the Saxons from invading their
country). There was a prophesy that the red dragon would eventually
be the victor and this came true when Uther Pendragon, and then
Arthur, came on the scene.

I can't help identifying Harry with Arthur, but, here's where the
theory falls apart a bit: this would mean that Harry was associated
with the red dragon. So would this put him in conflict with Albus
(=white) Dumbledore, do you think???

Another colour-and-Arthurian-related thingy. If Ginny's name really
is (as I like to think) a variant of Jennifer (how about Ginevra for
example?), then it's a modern update of the old Welsh name Gwenhwyfar
(Guinevere, we call that lady in English). And "gwen" means white in
Welsh. I don't know what "hwyfar" means -- anyone here speak Welsh?
JKR used to live near Wales, didn't she? I bet she knew these legends!

Yep, I think Ginny's going to have to choose between two guys at some
point :-) Hm, Harry and Neville, maybe?

Oh well, enough random wittering...
Have fun,
Amalia
