I personally believe Harry is the heir to
Gryffindor in a spiritual rather than literal sense.
That would fit in with Dumbledore's belief that it is
our choices not our blood that defines us. In other
words Harry isn't *born* the heir of Gryffindor he
*becomes* through his hero's journey.
